Event Details

Young explorers, dive into biology, chemistry, and physics with our FUN two-day workshop at the Pacific Highlands Ranch Library, led by passionate high school students eager to share their love for science!

(June 16) Day One: In this session, participants will explore the parts of plant and animal cells and how they differ. They’ll then dive into the anatomy of the heart and brain, gaining a closer look at how these organs work through hands-on 3D models. We’ll also touch on common diseases and tips for staying healthy.

(June 17) Day Two: During this session, participants will explore exciting chemistry and physics topics such as atomic structure, the periodic table, motion and forces, and waves. Through engaging lessons, hands-on experiments, and interactive review games, students will discover how these concepts connect to the world around them. To wrap up, students will receive materials for a fun marshmallow engineering challenge to take home.

Attendees can choose to attend one or both sessions. If attending all sessions, please make sure to sign up for each day.

About the Science Quest Program:

Program Inception: Inspired by our success coaching middle and high school students and competing in Science Olympiad—where our teams have consistently achieved top three state placements—we created this program to give back to the community and spark a passion for science in young learners.

Program Overview: This two-session, hands-on science program is designed for students aged 9-13. Session 1 covers Cell Biology and Human Anatomy, while Session 2 covers Chemistry and Physics. Students participate in interactive experiments, engaging activities, and are provided with materials for an exciting challenge at the end of Session 2.

Our Mission: To foster a lasting passion for science through fun and engaging learning experiences in a supportive community across San Diego County.
